Are you planning a conference or a business meeting in Poland?

Don’t waste time on trying to communicate in a foreign language with your partners.

Focus on your job and I’ll interpret everything you want to say, accurately and fluently.

ABOUT ME

I’m a qualified interpreter and translator of Polish, English and Spanish, based in Poland. I’ve learned the art and craft of interpreting, among others, from interpreters working in the European Commission and Parliament. I’ve interpreted MPs, ambassadors, numerous conferences, events and business talks, often concerning very specialized matters. I’ve been working as a translator and interpreter since 2008 and I hold the certification of the Polish Ministry of Justice for both English and Spanish (“officially sworn interpreter”). I also teach post-graduate studies in legal translation at the University of Warsaw (starting from Oct 2015).

What makes me stand out?

Confidentiality

Any information or documents presented in meetings will always remain confidential. As an officially sworn and certified translator and interpreter I’m bound by the professional duty of confidentiality. I guarantee complete discretion.

Precision

Insurance, crime forensics, railway engineering? These are only some fields I’ve interpreted, always using fully accurate and professional terminology. It takes me up to a few days to do a thorough research in order to be fully prepared for each assignment.

Qualifications

I’m a graduate of the renowned European Master In Conference Interpreting organized under the auspices of the European Commission, and post-graduate studies for legal interpreters at the University of Warsaw where I also teach translation.

Professionalism

A professional interpreter for a meeting or during your speech will improve the image of your company and the prestige of an international event. It’s also a proven negotiation strategy – it will give you time to refute your opponent’s arguments.

Professional interpreting services – why is it worth it?

Preparing an important public speech?

You need a professional interpreter thanks to whom your audience will follow with interest what you’re saying, and not an amateur who’ll either distort your message or start faltering under stress during a really important public speech.

Planning business talks or negotiations?

You need an interpreter who will help you close the deal and not an amateur who will side with your opponent or mislead your partners thwarting the whole deal.

Organizing a conference or training for employees?

You need a simultaneous interpreter with expertise and a pleasing and professional voice who will make a good impression on international guests instead of putting the image of your company at risk, and who will pass all the important information to your employees.

PROFESSIONAL INTERPRETERS

Professional interpreters specialize in passing on information even in very specialized matters. In order to do it we use special interpretation techniques that are  especially valuable while working against the clock or under stress.

Being fluent in a particular language is not enough. How much can you say about veterinary science or engineering even in your mother tongue? I can interpret a whole conference about it just after a few hours of preparations – in a fluent and precise manner.

Remember

Simultaneous interpreting requires many specialized skills. Try listening to a radio or TV presenter and repeating his or her words simultaneously, without omissions or delays. And now think that interpreters have to do the same – in a different language!

Think

Think how much it costs you to prepare a meeting or a conference (booking conference rooms, catering, preparing speeches, accommodation, travel costs). Think how much money is at stake in the deal you will negotiate. Hiring a professional interpreter is value for money and a good investment compared to all these expenses, and it’s not worth making savings by putting at risk the image of your event and your company.

Which type of interpretation you need

SIMULTANEOUS (WITH HEADPHONES,
AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE SPEAKER)

The interpreters work in a booth and you listen to them with headphones. The interpreter and the speaker talk at the same time so that the conference or workshop is translated without any stops or delay. It requires a great deal of concentration and nerves of steel – that’s why interpreters have to work in pairs – and special equipment. If there are up to two listeners, the interpretation can be whispered and no equipment is needed. Sometimes portable microphones can be used instead of a booth – it is very handy during trainings in factories or guided tours.

CONSECUTIVE
(SPEAKER AND INTERPRETER TAKE TURNS)

The interpreter notes down larger parts of the speech and repeats it in a different language. This mode of interpreting is perfect for business talks or public speeches on the stage. The speaker has to stop every while so that the interpreter can translate what’s been said. Interpreters know special techniques of note-taking which allow them to interpret accurately up to 5-minutes of speech. As the speaker has pause for the interpreter to step in, the presentation takes longer than planned – it has to be taken into account in the programme.
